Ruby

We also heard from Jim Frey, our regional representative to CNY Rotary District 7180.

Drones Club

David J. Kelley, founder and lead drone pilot of Expedition Drone Imagery, was last week's speaker.
He started the company after being laid off last year from the US Geological Survey. An environmental scientist, he shared images of his trip to the Arctic while getting a master's degree from Syracuse University. 

At the US Geological Survey, his work included evaluating environmental restoration near Philadelphia, and collaborating with the New York state DEC on reintroducing salmon to Lake Ontario. 

His current work includes monitoring solar panels in Texas.

Blood and Money

 

Kristan Gottmann was one of the donors during last week's Rotary-sponsored Red Cross blood drive at the Malta Community Center.

At our business meeting on Thursday, members saw a letter from CAPTAIN thanking us for a recent $500 donation.
