Speaker, Cleanup

Ray O'Conor spoke at our meeting last week about his mother's first husband, Clarence Raymond Stephenson, a B-17 (Flying Fortress) pilot who was killed in World War II.

He wrote a book about them, She Called Him Raymond, which he described as "By far the most meaningful thing I've ever done."

He passed around some personal items, including Raymond's Distinguished Service Cross and Purple Heart medals, his garrison cap and anti-glare Ray-Ban sunglasses, made by Bausch & Lomb in USA.

On Saturday, we had a crew doing our semiannual cleanup of Dunning Street in Malta. The photo, taken by participant Helen Endres, is (left-to-right) of Murray, Steve, Lisa, Dave and Miles.
