Catching Up

Thursday's speaker was Rotarian Larry Levine, talking about teaching origami to cancer patients.

The previous week, see photo above, we had  Lynn Minderman of Qholaqhoe Mountain Connections. a program established to help people in a rural area of Lesotho, in southern Africa. Lynn, left, is shown receiving an $800 check from Malta Sunrise Rotary President Arlene Schmidt and Finance Chair Cynthia Young. This marks the third year in a row we have donated $800 to QMC.

Tomorrow, Tuesday Nov. 1, from 1 to 6 p.m., we'll be helping out a Red Cross blood drive at Malta Community Center. Follow link in preceding sentence if you want to donate blood, or call 1 800 RED CROSS for more information.
